What is BOXXER?


BOXXER is the millennial professional boxing company behind the popular TV series Ultimate Boxxer.

They are founded by the youngest licensed promoter in the UK, Ben Shalom.

Ultimate Boxxer is currently broadcast by BT Sport and famously features 8 man tournaments all on one night.

Ben Shalom, founder assures fans the successful format will continue but explains BOXXER will also be promoting other shows and has signed its previous tournament winners to promotional contracts including stars Mikael Lawal and Derrick Osaze. 

The brand is backed by some of boxing’s biggest names with a focus on high profile tournament formats aimed to attract boxing audiences, from old fashioned dyed in the wool fans to millennials just starting out their love of boxing.

Added to this, BOXXER have recently made their most recent signing in Love Island winner Jack Fincham as he embarks on his journey to become Britain’s next professional boxer after a successful amateur career.

BOXXER reveals new brand name


Ultimate Boxxer has announced its new parent brand, BOXXER as it moves into phase two of its entry into professional boxing.

BOXXER founder Ben Shalom announced on Thursday morning that the company is entering phase two, as it looks to work with its fighters over a longer period and step the shows up a level. “We’re still keeping the tournament format. We’ve done six successful events, the fans and the TV broadcasters love the shows. However, we are now also going to be working with the fighters that come through the system long term, under the BOXXER brand in additional large scale shows.”

Ultimate Boxxer 5 – The Draw

In front of a packed BT Sports studio in east London, Steve Bunce and Spencer Fearon completed the live draw to determine who will face who in the quarter-finals of Ultimate Boxxer 5, watched on by host David Alorka and guest Viddal Riley.

Kingsley ‘Obi’ Egbunike (black shorts) and Lenny Fuller (white shorts) will trade blows in quarter-final one, before Kaan Hawes (red shorts) faces Joshua Ejakpovi (pink shorts). The third quarter-final will see Lewis Syrett (yellow shorts) battle Sean Robinson (blue shorts), while Aaron Collins (grey shorts) will enter the ring in the final quarter-final bout against Steven Donnelly (green shorts).

The winner of quarter-final one will face the winner of quarter-final two, with the victors in three and four also squaring up in the last four.

‘We have eight very strong super welterweights, and this draw has only heightened expectations ahead of September 20,’ said Ben Shalom, Ultimate Boxxer founder.

‘To fight on this platform at the Indigo at the O2, live on BT Sport, is the thing dreams are made of. We are delighted to give these eight fighters their chance, and the fans are going to be in for a great night of boxing,’  he added.
